“Monique Brumby has dug deep to deliver a brilliant album that inspires and leaves you seeing the world and yourself a new.” Francesca Sciacca, Cherrie MagApril2010.
LIVE REVIEW – “Monique Brumby is a performer comfortable with the stage with her supremely confident voice, easy between song banter and more than capable song writing. Her spirited individuality, part Mary Margaret O’Hara vocal weirdness, part fearless storyteller Patti Smith is a unique offering. Her prolific output is matched by the rigor with which she hones her song writing skills.” Andy Hazel – Inpress Mag.

Two time ARIA Award winning singer songwriter Monique Brumby released her 4th studio album SKELETONS’ POLKA in 2010 to great acclaim. ‘UNDERGROUND’ SINGLE REVIEW: “Her last two albums saw Monique Brumby take significant steps forward, especially in a new-found confidence in her song writing and the way she better augmented her voice as a theatrical instrument. Away from the mainstream spotlight, she allowed herself to grow. ‘Underground’ is another move forward, a jaunty acoustic pop piece with Buddhist-like simplicity that celebrates club land life. The vocals range from smoky huskiness to a neo-operatic flourish at the end. As with all her best stuff, there’s a darkness in the characters in the song that is compelling.”
